Casa Esperanza – Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers make a significant difference in the lives of the families who stay at Casa Esperanza.  The people we serve are no different than your neighbors, your family members or your co-workers faced with a difficult and challenging time.  The same empathy, compassion and reassuring smile you share with them is needed for our families too.  We are certain that whatever skill or talent you have, it will meet a need here at Casa Esperanza.  We welcome individual, family and group volunteers.  Giving your time and talents is not only rewarding, it is the fabric of our community.  If you want to turn your compassion into action raise your hand today and join our team!

For those with time to give, we need people to serve in the following areas/ways:

• Planning/hosting resident activities
• Preparing snacks or meals
• Hospitality intern
• Family studies/Social work intern
• Front desk/office support
• Event volunteers
• Volunteer coordinator
• Maintenance / Honey-do list
• Give Hope a Ride support
  • Auction support – car lot
  • Auction support – office
  • Lot maintenance
  • Office support

For the groups out there, use your combined power to help with the following:

• Host a dinner here at Casa Esperanza – we have great kitchen facilities to prepare the meals right here!
• Host a wish list drive – we like toilet paper, hotel sized shampoo and soap…in bulk!
• Host a food drive – our pantry is always in need of canned and boxed goods!
• Weekend projects – painting, window washing, landscaping and much much more!

• Love homemaking?
  • Welcome and care package assembly
  • Knitting/Quilting blankets
  • Our indoor and outdoor plants need love too!
• Gift of gab?
  • Spiritual care (non-denomination)
  • Spread the word about the great work Casa Esperanza is doing
• Want to make it a family affair?
  • Pick one evening a month to be the host family and interact with our guests as you would at home
    • Bring movies and popcorn
    • Board games
    • Story time for the kids

Please call our Guest Services Team to schedule a time to come and tour our facility and to fill out a volunteer application or you can download here.  You can reach us Monday thru Friday from 8am to 6pm, Saturdays 9am to 1pm or Sundays 11am to 4pm at 505-246-2700.
