About Casa Esperanza

Casa Esperanza, Inc. began with the vision of the UNM Cancer Center Board of Advisors and the Realtor Association of New Mexico. Founded April 9, 1987 as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable organization, Casa Esperanza began raising funds to build an independent nonprofit home to house families who are referred to Albuquerque for cancer treatment, regardless of their financial situation. The original sponsors were joined in 1990 by BUILD New Mexico, and their combined efforts resulted in completion of our home in February 1992.
